The Mets showed some fight with four runs in the final two innings in a 7-6 loss to the Brewers on Saturday (box)
RHP Edwin Díaz made his return for the Mets five hundred and thirty-seven days since his last major league outing, touching 99 mph on his fastball and striking out one
The bats finally woke up with the Mets hitting three homers on the day - a solo shot from Francisco Álvarez and Pete Alonso and a three-run home run from Brett Baty
RHP Yohan Ramírez threw behind 1B Rhys Hoskins and was ejected, with Hoskins going 3-for-4 on the day to have the last laugh (video)
SATURDAY
The Mets were one-hit in a 3-1 loss to the Brewers on Opening Day (box)
The benches cleared in the top of the 8th after Jeff McNeil and Brewers 1B Rhys Hoskins got into it following a late slide
Friday’s loss marked the first time in franchise history that the Mets were one-hit on Opening Day
New York is now 41-22 all-time on Opening Day, losing for the first time since the 2021 season

RHPs Yohan Ramírez and Michael Tonkin were the final two players to make the roster out of the bullpen
THURSDAY
D.J. Stewart was officially notified that he made the Mets opening day roster (SNY)

The Mets brought their spring training camp to a close with a 3-0 loss to the Yankees on Monday afternoon (box)
