Mets have two routes in at this moment -- the Padres a bit too far ahead to talk about three yet. Tiebreaker with Diamondbacks. Braves to be determined. [edited]
The Marlins outslugged the Dodgers, showing even they might give the Braves a fight. The Braves and Diamondbacks both have some tough opposition though the Braves have that Marlins series.
I think the route here is splitting the Phils series & then not having a replay of 2022 against the Braves.
I wish you wouldn't exaggerate Alonso's performance last night. He got badly jammed and hit a bases loaded pop up that managed to fall in. This was not good hitting, it was good luck. His 3-run homer was great but came after the Mets had built a big lead. Nothing wrong with putting the game totally out of reach, but he did not put the Mets on his back and carry them. He had a statistically great game, nothing more.
It was a most enjoyable evening all the way around!

they don't have a tiebreaker over the Braves yet. They have a tiebreaker against San Diego and Arizona.
Granted. Thanks.
