What I saw in the 8th inning last night was Soto dogging it to 1B while the Royals’ 2B was fumbling his ground ball. Lindor dogging it to 3B while the Royals were trying to throw out Polanco at 1B. Then some good stuff happened.
Agreed that McLean, Scott, Benge, and Ewing constitute a talent laden core but when I read that I thought, "Most other teams also have a talent laden core, how are we going to beat them out?". Side note: just when I gave up on Baty, he shows signs of life. It's a different team if he can be even an average hitter. Side note #2: Ewing didn't display power in the minors, so it's a nice surprise. Side note #3: Lindor looks bad. Hope it's not father time gaining on him.
