Kinda steep for a rental. I read somewhere recently that Gilbert was raking and could be in the mix for CF next year. It's not like the Mets trade away CFers that turn into All-Stars

Remarkable that stearns would pay this price for a rental. If they had him through 2026, I could see it. Looks like the slogan is "go all out to win this year" . Trying to make myself feel better because Jett and Benge are coming up.

This is my read, too. We're going for it now, probably because we'll only have one more shot with this core in its prime before a lockout in 2027.

My first reaction was, this is steep. But when thinking it through a little more, I realized Buttó was out of options, Gilbert is almost 25 already, and Tidwell is likely going to be a No. 3 or No. 4 at best. So, yeah — a premium, but not outrageous.

Tidwell might end up being a set up or closer in the bigs if his control issues continue. Still a steep price but the bullpen now a strength

Un precio excesivo para un alquiler hasta final de temporada.

I thought immediately after Stearns signed with the Mets, he would be gone after three years. He has yet to realize this ain’t Milwaukee, Toto.

Luis Robert is coming from the white Sox. Only way the deal for Gilbert makes sense. Until he proves me otherwise. In Stearns I trust.
