Good riddance.

A lot of BS is being said and written re this story. My take: Stern gave Epper the same choice he gave Buck. (Do you want to step down or do you prefer to be dismissed?)

Yes, Buck basically say that at his last media conference. He acknowledged he had a choice and made it clear he never gives in. So dismissed he was. Epper, in a political move, figures he can look big by giving up space to Stern. But, he was out no matter what.

Good - clean up in Aisle 1.

Hoping for Beltran as manager - want a person who understands NYC MEDIA AND FANS.

Hey Toto - we ain’t in Kansas anymore ....

I liked Billy., and wish him well. The season was a bust when Diaz was hurt in MLB's money making scheme, the World Baseball Classic!

I am a bit surprised because I thought Eppler’s strength was in recruiting Japanese players and thought he’d at least hang around to take a shot at recruiting Yamamoto.

I can’t say I am shocked really. I’m sure Eppler didn’t ever think he’d be having to work under another person. For the great through I would say after some of the moves made the past year

All along we heard that Billy Eppler would be part of the POBO search. Got their POBO and now he decides to step down? Hmmmmm.. Something strange is happening in Flushing.
