This team is like some three-or-four-win football team with enough talent that you can see it having a decent season if a bit more goes right. A few more hits in scoring position. An "ace" who actually looks like one, much of the time. Lindor not basically missing half the season (either not being there at all or being a shadow of himself). A true 1B. etc.
He had a really big year last season. Before that, he had two pretty good years. Seemed like a good pickup, but especially with Holmes hurt, it wasn't enough on its own, with so many question marks. To make it worse, he seems to be infected by the general malaise of the 2026 Mets.

Peralta should be able to still bring back a decent prospect at the deadline. Myers just stinks. Where did the pitching lab go?
He was always a 5 inning pitcher. A decent 3rd or 4th starter on a good team.

Oh yes, even when he was 12 he was the worst player on the team. Even the outs were hard hit.
