Don't understand the stampede to trade Weaver, since none of us think full rebuild is the way to go. Who's going to replace him? The prospect that you hope to get for him may someday turn out to be as good as Weaver already is now and will be in 2027. Finally, the word "exponentially" became ubiquitous when COVID hit. Now it's slathered all over the place. It's a math term, and does not mean "a hell of a lot".

I also expect Peralta to flourish wherever he lands. He hasn't been that bad. Often his starts are marred by weak defense. I'd love to resign him.

Manaea ERA 3.37, WHIP 1.17, K/BB 3.92/1 over 11 starts in June and July. Got fooled before but not bad 5th starter numbers.
