There was a time last year when he was slumping and some pundits started in trying to paint him as a prima donna...I think Soto had the temerity to decline an interview. Now, if he can only start running when he hits a long fly instead of standing and watching, we'll have something to celebrate...
Soto's a good dude. He just likes to go his own way, and that gets misinterpreted a lot. He learns from his mistakes, too. And he never stops trying to improve his game.
My buddy was in Port St. Lucie last week and said that he yelled to Soto why he looks to walk even during batting practice. Soto smiled and said he hits some too. My buddy said he’s actually very good with the fans.
