After a few weeks of playing for their lives, it seems the players have already taken an early vacation. Annoyed by the reception Pete received? Is the drop in intensity since the series against the Orioles just a coincidence?

The Dodgers have won the West for the 13th time in 14 years huh? What is their formula? I know every organization is different but can't they copy them??

The key is to have lots of money and have someone other than David Stearns as your GM. I'd suggest as part of the formula not signing injury prone players who are then slotted to play a position they've never played before and paying them 1M per base hit to do so (Polanco). Btw, I see that Luis Robert played 3 games for the Orioles before going down with an injury. Shocking, huh?

I know, right? Am I the only one that thinks many oft injured mlb players should do more yoga? I mean, it worked for some fella named Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

I heard an interview once with a grizzled old soccer coach in England who was asked why today's players are constantly going down with hamstring pulls and similar injuries. He said, "It's because they don't do any walking. They drive everywhere in their Lamborghinis. And on training day they drive it right up to the pitch, get out and start to work. They need to walk".

That makes as much sense as anything I’ve heard.
