Lindor refuses to bunt for basehits. What is his reasoning??

Answer: Mendoza doesn't like to play small ball. That includes dunk hitting.

Good point. As I recall, he's a good bunter.

I loved Alvy's body language yesterday, especially at the plate. He looked like he was having fun, competing rather than grinding. Hopefully, that means a corner has been turned.

By the way, D-Ro and Chris Young had a great breakdown on Lindor on MLB Central this morning. I hope he was watching. 😆

Álvarez looks much more comfortable at the plate. He’s not just going up and swinging at everything. It seems like he has an approach. It’s huge for this lineup if he can keep that up.

Let Soto lead off. Walks and solo HRs part of his resume. If nothing else it will shake things up.

Over the last 3 games, the Mets #2,3,4 batters were a combined 4 for 32 and, as we know, they won all 3. Go figure.

I always had faith in Alvarez. A young guy coming off a very good season, a father, and adjusting to his second season . For our sake and his hope he is terrific down the stretch. I m not sure what they think they have in Acuna, maybe I think too highly of his potential, but if not given a full chance who will ever know!

From what I gather, there are very few good hitters available in trades and the price is likely exhorbitant. With a new Alvarez and an improving Baty, if Marte can continue what he was doing before his injury, we may be ok since the big 3 will revert to form soon (I hope). I'll be satisfied if Stearns can get 1 or 2 good relievers. Getting Keller would be great...Montas looked very shaky yesterday and Holmes has declined lately. I'm not sure that McNeil has cost us much in the field, so I can't see CF as a priority. Btw, looks like father time has caught up with Mike Trout.
