Vientos can't seem to catch up with fastballs. One walk in 94 at bats in month of May. I don't see what's that got to do with a "pulse", heart, or effort. At a certain point they'll have to decide that Vientos is not who they hoped he would be. He won't be the first or last guy who had one good year and could never duplicate it. Williams' 34 pitches was pretty impressive, but the record for pitches in inning while not giving up a run is 49! Jaime Barria pitched it. Included longest at bat in mlb history Brandon Belt, 21 pitches. What's impressive about Benge is his ability to hit good pitches for singles. Bodes well.

Hi Joel, the pulse comment refers to the whole team, not just one player. That's slightly taking the comment out of context. But I agree that a decision on him needs to be made soon, and Benge is showing a lot which is a huge positive, even if that's the only one!

The game shows how hard it is to sweep, especially when you aren't much more than a .500 team. The Reds were sloppy and were a hit away from winning that game.

For one day, at least, the Mets had enough to win. Good bullpen game.
