Maybe just maybe we have in our presence the next "FRANCHISE"!

Interesting to observe McLean's 6-pitch arsenal being lauded. I recall in these pages it was suggested that Megill would be better off if he kept fewer clubs in his bag.

Read an article in the Post and everyone says McLean is “built different” one of the Holliday brothers is the coach at OSU and from back in college this was evident. He has swag and maturity of a guy that seen everything. They say no moment is too big and he doesn’t let the hard times sink in for long. We haven’t had a kid like this in a long time (ever?). Looking back over my years of Mets fandom even when Doc came up there was only talk of how electric his stuff was but not much about his maturity and looking back at it that is what killed him as his success led to his downfall. Maybe Seaver? Of course health will be the metric that would keep him back it seems at this point. Let’s keep our fingers crossed on that front and marvel at what he can do when he takes the ball every 5 days. If he keeps throwing the way we have seen so far the sky is the limit with him and along with his fortunes the team will ride along with him. Let’s hope he doesn’t get the deGrom hex where the team can’t score runs for him. That would be a big disservice. Can’t wait to watch his every start. LGM
