I feel for Alvarez...but you nailed it. Not much for Catchers on the top prospect list either, unfortunately.

Alvarez is beginning to remind me of another top catching prospect who never realized his full potential with the Mets, because of constant injuries. His name was Travis d'Arnaud.

It's about time with the BS of batting Soto leadoff or #2. He is paid to drive in runs. You think about some of the well pitched games that were lost due to poor situational hitting and things would look a lot better in the standings. Never give up the season with 25% done, there is a lot of baseball left in this season to be played.

Let. The. Kids. Play!

As per the kids, I'm hoping that Ewing batting leadoff, and Benge batting second will be the choice of the Mets ass.

Whoops, I forgot to type in br. My bad.

Minor quibble: Luisangel Acuna wasn't homegrown; he was acquired as part of the 2023 selloff.

New month, new energy. It's somewhat tiresome how things seem so familiar. We are so negative about the team. Then they show some life. Oh well. As I said, the kids are the reason to watch.

The Mets have not had too much luck with catchers. Good back-up, though.

A few other people including Clay Holmes. But yeah, the kids.
