It seems funny, but I actually have more doubts about the offense than I do about their pitching. Of course, if Polanco, Baty, and Alvarez hit and Robert rejuvenates (all real possibilities), we'll finish 140-22 and sweep the postseason. Ok, maybe the Dodgers will steal one game in the series, but 4-1 isn't bad.

Alvie is the dude I'm looking at. If he hits, look out.

Now that MLB has managed to shorten the games, I wonder how much challenging balls and strikes will lengthen them.

I read something about this, in the minors it added about 2 minutes to each game, now it could be a little more in the majors since last spring training the major leaguers were slightly more successful in challenges so there will probably be slightly more challenges a game. Really it won’t really be noticeable for a fan

Odds of either Baty or Vientos being traded?

So much musical chairs.

Multiple starters would work in their first go around in a three inning (or 2.2 etc.) stint, so a crowded starting rotation early on should be okay.

Happy to see team buster Castellanos landing in SD. Saw an interview with Shwarber and he was asked his feelings on him being released and he didn’t smash the guy but for a team leader he surely wasn’t sad he was gone either. This was a guy who sat in the dugout alone as the team was popping corks in the clubhouse after winning the NLCS. Great guy to have around. All I care about right now is health. I want Freddy and Nolan for sure to get through ST unscathed. The rotation after that will be what it is.
