Another Met pitcher injured....who could have seen this coming?? Is there something lacking in the conditioning routine set out? It's always something. Minters loss for majority of this season hurts.
I saw a graphic on Soto: his career average in April is .255 and he averages about four dingers and a dozen ribeyes for the month. So, he's about where he usually is. He'll be fine, especially since he roasted a couple last night (unfortunately, right at somebody).
The bigger concern is losing Minter, plus Manaea going on the 60-day; Sean won't be back until June now. Blackburn is out for another week or so, too. Which means we may have to make a deal for an arm if Sproat or Tidwell aren't ready.
But I like where we are. We've given ourselves a little altitude. Just keep playing ball, fellas. Just keep playing ball.
P.S. I'm not kidding: the way Acuna is hitting, it's only a matter of time before he's batting second behind Lindor. And then it's nightmare time for opposing pitchers.
Minter's injury could be a huge hole in the bullpen. Stern and Hefner will be tested with who they find to fill the hole. I guess we'll see what the minors have to offer and/or someone in a trade.
Good to see Butto bounce back. With Minter's injury, he's more important than ever.

I think pitchers going down left and right is happening all over, not just with us. WSJ has run some good articles about the problem.

Not really full flight, wait till Juan gets going! Pitching, in David we trust!
C'mon Brooks Raley. Can do two a days for rehab?
