Arizona is apparently shopping Ketel Marte. Intriguing. He's been at second base for the last couple years, but he used to play center.

It would cost pitching prospects, so that's one major drawback. And I think if we got him, it would be to play left field. Nice switch-hitting bat under club control until 2031, though. And having a bat like that relieves some of the pressure to find a stick in centerfield.

Anyway, we all know the big questions are Pete and Sugar. Hard to see them not coming back, but in this day and age, anything is possible.

If we got Marte, I wouldn't complain. About the price...btw, I'm starting to get nervous about losing Alonso to the Red Sox. No way he goes to Baltimore. The only thing good about losing Alonso would be ratcheting up the pressure to sign Tucker. Vientos to first? At least he can throw, haha.

I think the fact that Soto's got a huge amount of money invested in him should make Cohen more inclined to sign Tucker rather than less. Unless Soto's got enough around him to bring home the bacon, the investment in him will go to waste as it did last year. Also, Lindor's not getting younger. The future is now.
