The photo you had of Green and Ewing spoke volumes about the steadiness and encouragement Green provides for the young players.

Adore Andy Green sooo, he has been wonderful! The players love him, as he is kind, brilliant, & expresses himself eloquently, & has a huge heart! He pushes the players to be the most excellent versions of themselves, & is warm, ingratiating, & sincerely cares about them as players & as people! He is sincerely one in a million & we pray with all our hearts, he has a change of his huge heart, & wishes to return. He's a precious blessing! :)

On-field management counts big time ... see NY Giants (yes, I know it's just 1 game)

Thanks for holding Mets accountable with regard to Alonso. Except you didn't name the responsible name: Stearns. He flushed 2026. Polanco, sure. What a disaster.

I don't see Pete Alonso in the Mets Hall of Fame. He left for more money, which is fine, but the cost to him is he is just another player who passed through the Mets organization. Give him his video tonight and adulation, but let's move on from whining about him leaving. We wouldn't be in the playoffs if he was here and we are better going forward without him.

McLean had a bad game. The Mets had a couple shots to bail him out but couldn't. Annoying but so it goes. Other than that, decent Subway Series. 9/11 added emotion. People still care about the rivlary. The major thing also is that it shows the Mets could play a very good team.
