<<< I may be in the minority on this, but I am in the camp of potentially hanging on to Robert if a suitable trade package is not offered

I'm reminded of Samuel Johnson's remark about second marriages: the triumph of hope over experience. It makes no sense to make any meaningful plans around a player -- regardless of his talent -- who cannot stay on the field. This is not mere bad luck, this is someone who is *literally* not built for this. Sure the talent is beguiling. Let someone else be beguiled.

I agree with you on almost everything you wrote about.. how come I knew from day one that Marcus Simeon was a very bad deal and the front office didn’t know it? Makes you wonder.. Louis Robert’s Jr.. if he hasn’t made it onto the field in more than 110 games in all of his years what makes you think he’s gonna get past that number again? It’s tempting, but I think you just gotta close your eyes and move him … and for my final thought I think Francisco Lindor is showing that you just cannot think you can come back from an injury quickly and be at the top of your form. I think who we’re seeing right now is closer to the player that he is rather than who he was a month ago because he was still getting his baseball legs and head back into it… his non-presence is one of the reasons why the team also hasn’t been doing well.. he’s a great player, but an injured player does a team no good in coming back from an injury just isn’t that easy.
