Jared Young should definitely be on the team next year and I don’t see why he shouldn’t be our 1st baseman. I’d rather him than some underperforming overpaid veteran. The bigger issues for the offseason is what do you do with Semien and Polanco and we need a top of the rotation starter.
I think they should eat the salary of at least one overpaid infielder. As to starters, avoid the Peralta replacement efforts. Go with a decent middle of the road type. Maybe pick up a swing guy for insurance, too.
This fun run suggests they still have some good relievers even with adding any. There is no reason they can’t be in contention in 2027.
