So here's the thing. At the end of the day, Tong's ERA from yesterday was a 7.20. We cant talk about if we dont count these pitches/batters/etc - because they all count. He was fortunate that the Mets scored 9 runs. But yesterday's performance didnt answer the question about whether he is better in long relief or as a starter. Where i do think they should have let him finish the year in Syracuse, now that he is here - we will see if he is ready or not, and what his role should be. Interested to see how this plays out.

Off subject: Looks like Phils are doing pretty well. They signed Schwarber to a 5 year deal, 150M.

He's strictly a DH and is two years older than a guy named Alonso, if you've heard of him. Alonso signed for 5 years, 155M with the Os and reportedly didn't even get an offer from the Mets. Doing pretty well. It appears that either Dombrowski or Stearns is not real smart. Which one?

Did the Mets move anyone up a level from A to AA or AAA now that the A season has ended. Would love to see Tayman get an at bat or three in AA. Same with Aidan Robbins.

Gary Gill Hill: The right-handed pitching prospect was promoted from Double-A Binghamton to Triple-A Syracuse on September 6, 2026. He was acquired by the Mets in the trade that sent Freddy Peralta to the Tampa Bay Rays.

Garrett Stratton: The right-handed pitcher was promoted from Double-A to Triple-A Syracuse by Mets Player Development on September 8, 2026.

Billy Amick was promoted to AAA a while ago.
