Is this year not only to evaluate the young pitchers, Benge and Williams but also to see if Alvarez, Baty, Vientos(if still here), and Acuna can improve enough to have a spot on the team going forward?
Luke Ritter. We rarely hear his name mentioned among the potential 1B for the Mets ... even as a backup. He has mashed Minor League pitching (2025 was a down year admittedly). What's the rap on this guy and why doesn't he get any love from the front office?
Do you see Kazuma Okamoto as a fit? I can't see Okamoto playing in a small market when he's the first player posted by the premier NPB team, the Yomiuri Giants and played in Tokyo, Japan, population 14 million. He such a perfect fit it's ridiculous. It would be a marketing coup as well. What are your thoughts?
