Should the Mets consider trying Soto at first base à la Bryce Harper. It seems they are in a better position to fill a void in left field than they are at first base.
Except for Skubal, I don't see any free agent starting pitchers worth pursuing. Do the Mets explore a trade to bring in a top-of-the-rotation guy or do they keep it in-house and focus on upgrading first AND second base?
Don’t most teams have a GM who has primary responsibility to put the team together via trades/acquisitions etc. with the oversight of a POBOs. Why have the Mets been so hesitant to hire a GM? The Falvey addition as VPOBOs is a positive if he will speak up when he disagrees with Stearns. Surprised that a guy as smart as Cohen got it so wrong by not having a GM and just giving Stearns total control until now.
Are Mets fans simply too harsh and too tough on the players? Forget social media.That will never change.The fans who pay their hard earned dollars need to be more supportive of the players ,coaches and managers during the inevitable tough stretches that a teams will endure in a 162 game season.Let’s leave this season out of the equation.There were drastic changes to the roster and generally speaking the replacement players did not work out( excluding Jared Young.)I am dead serious about this.Citi Field next year needs to be a tougher place to play for the visitors.Wonderful Mets fans need to lighten up and chill out.We want free agents who want to play for the Mets because the team culture is strong and the fans are supportive through the good and bad times.Let’s help the players play loose at home and in turn they will “play better “as Buck used to day.The support Mets fans showed for this team after the trade deadline will never be forgotten.Pete Alonso is out of their system.To the best fan base in the world LGM!!!!

Would the Orioles Ryan Mountcastle be a good RH hitting 1B option to platoon with Jared Young. I wouldn’t think the Mets would have to trade too much to get him.

Even though he's a great in the field, should the Mets dispose of Marcus Semien due to his low batting average?
