Become a part of Just Mets in 2024 ✍️
As the weather gets more and more bitter here in New York and the offseason slows down to a crawl, the prospects of spring and a fresh new season provide us with some hope ahead.
With the impending season in mind, we feel that it is officially time for Just Mets to expand our team as we are officially seeking one new writer ahead of the 2024 season.
Back in its original iteration, the Just Mets website was written by just Michael and myself every single day — looking back, I have no idea how we did that… Since re-launching, however, we’ve had a bigger team with Linda Suravich and Justin Mears joining the family.
And that is the exact team we have had ever since this website was reborn in late 2021. Now, over two years later, we’re looking for one of you to join us.
With a long season ahead and a return to a seven days a week posting schedule not far away, we felt it was important to grow our team. Baseball seasons are long, schedules get busy, and having an extra set of hands really goes a long way. We also feel that it is time to add in some more fresh perspectives to the ones we’re already providing on a day-to-day basis.
What we’re looking for is simple: If you have a love of the Mets with any sort of writing experience or samples you can show us, and the ability to write 1-2 newsletters per week (preferably weekends), you’re already under consideration!
While Just Mets does not benefit from sponsorships or ads, our writing team does split our paid subscriptions for compensation.
In order to officially enter consideration, please send any writing samples or relevant experience to writingsamples@justmets.net or DM us on Twitter.
