I'm more disappointed with Vientos and Alvarez after their sterling first full seasons than I am with Soto.

For sure. Each of those guys had one good year and one only. As fans, we'd like those years to represent what they are but that remains to be seen. Contrast Diaz: all the concern expressed about Diaz 5-6 weeks ago seems overblown now...but he's an established star with a long track record. Chris Devenski? Hope we can find some magic but his stats show that since he was a rookie, it's been pretty much all downhill.

Alvarez is positioning himself into a part time catcher, as to he honest Torrens is better defensively and is out hitting him. Still would like to see a steady diet of Acuna, as he might get better and better the more he plays.

Mendoza, after the game, was not just being nice when noting the Rockies were a major league baseball team. The Rockies did not look totally out of their league. They do not have what it takes to win. Sometimes, their pitching can be pathetic (10-run innings? There seem to be more ridiculous innings in baseball). But they played competitively last night. Took a good Lindor play to stop them from going ahead.
