The rest of the season will be unwatchable. I wouldn’t even let Soto play out the season..Why? I certainly wouldn’t spend money at the ballpark .. None of these prospects will be ready to go even next year..They still have Polanco,Bichette,Vientos Baty, and other worthless players..didn’t do anything to solve first base…at least they kept Lorenz.. Who’s pitching?
I’ve never heard from media or David Stearns whether they offered clay holmes a two or three year extension at a reasonable salary. He’s proven he can pitch in New York and he has to have some loyalty because they did turn him back into a starter as he had requested. It’s hard to replace quality starting pitching. If he wasn’t interested, I totally get the trade.
I like what we did at this deadline. We restocked the farm system with some interesting prospects. Now we have to hope 1 or 2 turn into something 🤞
