If the Mets can swing a trade for Hendricks it would put the lie to the speculation in the NY Post article the other day that resentment towards Cohen will make other teams unwilling to cooperate with him and the Mets. Since the Mets have a fairly good supply of position player prospects without a clear path to play, they should try to trade 1 or 2 of them for a player of Hendrick's caliber.
It wouldn’t surprise me if they don’t acquire Hendriks for the simple reason that Reinsdorf dislikes Cohen. The article in The Athletic hinted that owners may collude against Cohen.
