Sorry, but I'm still not buying into the Mets being a contender. Not until they seriously upgrade the bullpen--and what does that look like? Who is/will be available, that will be able to competently fill the void between innings 6-9? And what will it take to bring those arms here? Over the past week, they went 7-4 against the Nationals and Pirates, two teams they should have beaten handily, if they're a true post season contender. Even the games they won, the bullpen almost gave away.
Fair comment but third wild card is a low bar. The Marlins got in last year & were quickly disposed of. As long as the Mets are marginally better than the 4th best team, they can get in. If this makes them a "contender" as such is another matter.

But, that's the point. We won 101 games in 2022 and got bounced the first round, with a much better team.
I seriously love this newsletter and I look forward to reading it each morning. Keep up the great work.
Great newsletter! a few typos:
- Astros are not in the NL
- Aaron Nola didn’t hit 3 HRs
Keep it rolling!
Beating the Nats was key to the playoffs in 2015. So, this is a nice symbolic moment.
Great job on the newsletter. I enjoy reading it so much each morning.
