It's a good guess Pete is back. If I remember correctly, the deal he rejected was seven years at about $22.7 million AAV. He'll take five years at $24 million at this point.
Maybe the organization will sweeten the pot a little with a mutual option at the tail end, but that's a healthy at-market (or slightly above) deal.
Bregman ... man, I don't know. On paper, it would be great. But we have such a great clubhouse, I don't want to disrupt the chemistry, and I'm not sure whether he's a great fit for our culture.
I could be totally wrong about that. He might be a great guy, and the problem is my own (admittedly irrational) blanket anti-Astros bias. I just don't have a great feeling about him.
Great to have Manaea back.
What a great early Christmas present for Mets fans!
Yes but there needs to be one more under the Christmas tree, if you ask me.
Not opposed to thatby any means!
Hitter or Pitcher? I’m still on the fence as to whether they go for Alonso and/or Bregman this year or Vlad and/or Murakami next year.
I am referring to Alonso, But at this point, there’s buzz they could do both Alonso AND Bregman. We will see.

Happy to have Sean back!
