This has been one of the most rewarding seasons as a Met fan that I can remember. The camaraderie of this group is incredible- just a great collection of players that pulled together and supported each other and are having fun along the way. Their grit and resilience is legendary. Here’s hoping they have 3 more weeks of great baseball to cap off this unbelievable season.
I thought 80-82 games, maybe 85 the most, was quite possible at the beginning of the season. I figured the rotation was okay (especially with Senga) & there were a few possible good bullpen arms. Then bad things happened. Oh well. Not quite!
They "clicked," certain parts were special, and they got a bit of help more than once. But they are here, and why not. And, they are basically playing with house money at this point.

Dodgers were 98-64 not 94-68.
