Let's hope this game serves as a jumping off point for the Brandon Nimmo we've known, it would make a huge difference. Especially because I'm starting to hear the footsteps of that team in Atlanta...
I defended Nimmo just last week against calls for his benching! The young man has a almost level demeanor. Sometimes I wonder why he doesn't show anger and fling his bat...but unlike I'd be, he's a professional and goes about his business and works to improve. 9 rbis is like a months worth for many players 😅
Great bounceback. And I'm really liking McNeil in center and Acuna at second. Luisangel must be our everyday second baseman now. He brings a dimension no one else on the squad can bring.
The rookie mistakes just come with the territory. And he learns from them. He doesn't make the same mistake twice.
I also wouldn't be surprised to see him batting second soon with Soto in the three hole and Pete cleaning up, if he keeps hitting the way he's hitting. I can already see Juan and Pete licking their chops with Lindor and Acuna on base. Hello, fastballs.
The blip the other day was due to happen at some point. Hopefully the starters will be able to get into the 7th inning and stop the stress on the pen. As a whole the pitching staff has been terrific!

Oh, he's a likeable guy alright. Only thing is, up until yesterday he's been a ghost of himself.
We needed that one!

Urena needs to be sent down for work and improvement. May I say he pitches terribly??!
