I feel sad, too. What am I going to do tonight ,or for that matter, for the next 5-1/2 months worth of evenings? With the Mets eliminated, I feel like I lost my best friend. Emotionally, you get attached to Mets baseball. I am unconditionally attached to this team, forever. I look forward to the day we win a World Series. The future looks bright!

Coming from a Dodgers fan, props for this post. This is what makes Mets fans good - you understand the history and context of the sport and the moment, showed humility, class, and hope as a true fan would, and displayed the full range of emotions for what it means to be a real fan of the team. Good luck as the Mets evolve. For now, GO DODGERS!

Dispatching the Braves and Phillies really made the season a joyful and successful one, imo. Da Bums are loaded - they were superior in every way, as much as I hate to admit it. By the the third game or so, I'll probably hop on their bandwagon, or not.

You mentioned the Liberty 🗽. They did win, but it was a really bad call that put them there - almost bad enough to question its legitimatacy.

See y'all in PSL!

And over for me as well! I have no interest in the World Series. A terrific year for the Mets, and think things look bright with good ownership and a very astute President of Baseball Operations.

I’m not upset. They had some great moments for a team that played beyond their ceiling. It happens; laying an egg happens. While satisfied with some progress no pro player is likely to be satisfied with these results-they want to do what only two teams can-make the world series. They’ve said repeatedly: we’ve accomplished nothing. They are pros and don’t look for participation trophies. As fans, we’ve been tantalized. The 69, 73 and 86 Mets know how hard it is to repeat. I expect to be tantalized.

Hay you can't win them all sure a world series would have been the icing on the cake but at least we had the cake the Mets were not even looked at as being contenders in may we made baseball heads turn as we did something that was wonderful and totally unexpected

I am Very proud of my Mets it was overall a great season they should not hold their heads in disgust keep them high and be proud of what you had Accomplished
