I’ve heard a big problem is Baty tends to hit the ball on the ground. I’ve seen him say it so at least he’s aware that he needs to hit the ball in the air. If he can elevate, that can change everything. I’m rooting for him!
He has such a great attitude, and the talent is there. He clearly can play. I'd love to see it click in for him.
Whether that means he can seize second base or be the utility guy, I have no idea. What's certain is, we really can't go wrong. Whoever makes second base their own will have earned it. Whoever ends up as the utility man will have earned it.
