• Carlos Correa is back home in Houston following his two-day physical in New York - his agent, Scott Boras, said the deal with the Mets could be announced by Christmas Day (New York Post)

• Scott Boras insisted on Thursday to reporters there were no health issues with Correa, “whatsoever,” and the Giants had concerns over the broken fibula Correa sustained as a minor leaguer in 2014

On behalf of the entire Just Mets writing team, I wanted to wish all of you a happy hanukah, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy Kwanzaa, and thank each and every one of you for your support and subscription to the Just Mets newsletter.

We’ve blown past our subscriber goals for the end of the 2022 calendar year on this site, and all the credit for that goes to you and the interest you have in reading about the Mets in the format we are providing. Your readership and the 5-10 minutes per day you give is the best gift in the world for our team.

We also want thank those who have dropped some coins into our piggy bank and sent us pledges over the last month or so. That is very much appreciated and we are all humbled by those gifts!

We hope to continue to evolve and improve the newsletter as well as the format and the voice of the site as we head into 2023, a year in which there will undoubtedly be as many eyes and ears on the Mets as there has been since 1986. With that, we hope that you stick with us and continue to enjoy what we have to say on a daily basis.
