Don't even mention sending Megill down! He's had one mediocre start and otherwise been great, ERA 1.4. I know he may rarely give you more than 6 innings, but combined with what he did late last year, he deserves some respect. Go Baty, back from the dead! On the other hand, when are we going to start talking about reducing Nimmo's role on this team? At this point, I think our chances of winning ballgames would be better with Acuna/Baty at 2nd, McNeil in left.
It's definitely going to be a bit of a traffic jam in the rotation once everyone is healthy, but as the old saying goes, you can never have too much pitching. Mendy and Hef will sort it out.
It's great to see Baty getting some positive results even though he's still not quite driving the ball. But he may not be far from having it click in. I'd still break down his stance and rebuild it with him being more open (I can't believe I'm saying that) but if he does indeed start to hit, I'll shut up.
Bottom line: we're winning games and we're still not fully healthy. Imagine what this team could be with Alvy, the Squirrel, Sean and Dedniel all back and ready to go. Then add in an effective Montas and Blackburn -- go, Pitching Lab -- and we're looking really good.
Nimmo seems in a minor slump now but the kid is a professional with a great demeanor. He will be out of it in 2 weeks I bet. Was it Keith that said last night that Nimmo said he was TOO aggressive at the plate at one time last year. McNeil incredibly seemed to lose his confidence and it snowballed. Hope this injury cloud for him has a silver lining!

Anytime a guy can go at least 6 and leave with a lead, it is terrific! As the weather heats up, so will the bats.
