I wouldn't want that abuser anywhere near this team. I don't care how good he is at throwing a ball.

I don't go along with that. Is it possible that he's improved as a person? How long do you hold a misdeed against someone--till they die? Also, how far are you going to take it? If an athlete beats someone up in a bar fight should he also be ostracized and prevented from making a living? What if he has political views you detest?

Wow those stats for C, CF, 2nd and 3rd are terrible. Not a surprise but seeing it makes it seem even worse! We definitely need at least 1 upgrade

I am still of the opinion that Acuna could be the second baseman, and McNeil can play any of the of positions or dh. Id ride Vientos at 3b, and if production dies not improve, figure out an alternative then. At some point Alvarez who has the most offensive potential hopefully comes back strong. To me the greatest need is a lefty reliever.

I'm here, too. I'd pencil Acuña in at second every day except for rest days or a really tough righty (sort of a quasi-platoon with the Squirrel).

I'm not sure what to do with third base. No one wants to seize the job.

I thought Baty was about to do it, and then he went back to standing in the box like a statue and went poof again. Once in a while he drills one, the rest of the time he's a tick late on everything.

Vientos should be the guy, but everyone knows they can get him out with the slider down and away. Once he falls behind in the count, he's dead meat. Until he fixes it, he ain't making it.

Mauricio has the most talent and could very suddenly emerge. That would solve a lot of issues. It may even be worth it to get him to stop switch-hitting since he's so poor from the right side and get him in the platoon with Vientos.

As to Alvie, I've thrown up my hands. Might as well let him crank it up with a big leg kick and a hitch and go ahead and whale away at it. Trying to turn him into a classic hitter like J.D. Martinez just isn't going to work. Just let him rip.

Excellent point about Mauricio who we really have not seen on a regular basis. The Mets might have some answers here, and who knows what players will be available if you are not desperate, and fall into your lap down the line

WBAL-TV :Most of the Baltimore region is under a heightened risk for severe weather, with the possibility for damaging winds and heavy rain coming in the afternoon. A cold front will sink southward across the area Tuesday afternoon triggering showers and thunderstorms to form.

Some of those storms could be capable of producing damaging wind, along with the threat of flash flooding. Thunderstorms will wind down after sunset and by that point the severe threat will go down.

It's also going to be uncomfortably hot and humid. A heat advisory will go in effect between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. as temperatures top out in the middle 90s with heat index values between 100-105 degrees.

Baltimore City declared a Code Red Extreme Heat Alert Day for Tuesday. Officials encouraged everyone to take precautions amid the high heat index.
