The trumpets that were so grandiose several seasons ago, are now close to playing taps over this season. I'm not ready to throw in the towel, but I'm warming up to the Jets season. What a masochist!
Totally agree last night was the end of our hope. I was at the game and couldn’t understand bringing in Diaz in the 8th when he’s been so shakey. Mets fans were loud until then. I rarely disagree with Mendy but I did last night. It’s tough with a BP that gives up leads the way ours does though.
I totally agree with you . Time to put this season "in the books". This team is what everyone said it would be: competitive. Not playoff caliber. Stearns should now have a clear view of what needs to be done in the off season to move us from competitive to Playoff-caliber.
Your pre-season prediction looks pretty close - it's today's projection also. I had them at 81-81 which would require a horrendous September to reach. They'll continue to bounce along around .500 and finish 8-10 wins above last year. Then it's on to Year 5 of Uncle Steve's investment.

I'll be there with ya. And I can tease here that I'll likely be back to writing about that, as well 😉
I'll look forward to it Rich!!

Ugh. Why must we be tormented so much by our team (retorical question)?

I'm not ready for offseason talk quite yet, but it's going to be a massive winter for them in the timeline of this ownership.
