Scott definitely looks like a major leaguer which is huge for us. Torrens and Alvarez should split time until when/if Alvarez can prove his bat needs to be in the lineup.
Great to read something positive about the Mets and great to have something positive to write about. Torrens is a great backup and has stepped up when Alvarez has been out. Scott is looking good.
Haven't looked but it seems that Baty hasn't had a multi-hit game for about a month. He's had ample opportunity to prove himself but it won't last forever. I'm a fan and I'm afraid he's gotta turn the corner or lose his spot. Speaking of that, my expectations for Polanco are very low. His best days are behind him. Quibble: I don't like the "no. 2 starter" talk. There's no position callled number 2 starter, number 3 starter, etcetera. It's just talk with the exception of choosing who goes in the post-season. Of what relevance is it if McLean turns out better than Scott or they're about the same or Scott turns out better?
Another ray of hope. The youth has been a big plus during these turbulent times. A lot of season left, and to be a fan, WHO KNOWS HOW THE TEAMS FORTUNE WILL TURN. Onward and upward! LET'S GO METS AND KNICKS!!
The batter should always run to first base confident of reaching it safely, never assuming he'll be put out. Soto's play was regrettable and reflects poorly on his commitment.
Tonite Mets face Griffin Canning 7.14 ERA. Hughes fighting Mets curse whereby the lineup doesn't score for him....just like they didn't score for DeGrom thus ruining HIS chances for HOF. These guys will make Canning look like Cy Young. Hope I'm wrong

Torrenz is a fantastic major leaguer and I'm thrilled with what he's accomplished. Staff ERA is better with him also.
