Apparently he’s not interested in doing it because he loves his job in player development. I wish he would change his mind and of course that Stearns would consider him for the job. But either way I’m glad he’s a part of the organization. Hopefully he sticks around.
He's meant to be a stopgap, but seems to be doing a good job.
I'm not sure who they would get that is more reliable, especially since Boy Genius doesn't want someone too big for their britches who might be too independent.
If they have some quality vet in mind, fine, but we can do a lot worse.
Benge reminds me of Kid Danger, if anyone watched that show. It's often on all day on Sunday on a teen channel, so it's hard for me to miss. Anyway, I think he's getting the proper attention.
Once the Nats pen started to collapse, I turned off the game. If they can't score off a replacement starter & have to rely on the battle of the bullpens, now with less offense available, it will be tough.
Of teams where former Mets now play, the Cubs and White Sox would be the leading teams in my book to root for.

I'm happy for Young's success. There's a lot of guys who perform well in AAA but never get an extended chance in the majors. He's made the most of his. I think he should get a spot on the roster next year.

I gave up watching just before the 6th. They looked pretty anemic until then. Glad to read they finally came alive.
