Fair enough regarding Ewing. And it's nice to see him immediately start running out of the box when he hits the ball. Juan, are you listening? Can someone explain how it helps team development to trot out Semien every day at the end of a lost season? We know everything about him that we need to know. Where's Mauricio?
I’m not so sure I’m as bullish on AJ Ewing. If the team wasn’t so bad this year he may have benefited from some time on Syracuse. But saying his outfield prowess would rank him in the top 25 of center fielders might not be a stat that you want to highlight.
Great breakdown, Drew. Reassuring to say the least. One thing I’ve noticed and Keith talked about it last night. They are working him
Inside. He seems to take strike three on the inside corner more frequently. He’ll learn to turn on that pitch or foul it off. He’s gonna be a good one.
After reading the columns today, it definitely comes back that the Mets made two very stupid moves over the last few years.. I am not even that upset about losing Jacob deGrom.. I think his best years were with the Mets and he may not get to there again… but seeing how Zach Wheeler has done and how it would’ve cost the Mets a lot less to sign him.. and of course Pete Alonso just shows you the difference between where they are now and where they could’ve been.. to see Zack Wheeler go to a team in their own division.. is just to me unimaginable

The Wheeler decision was on the Wilpons. The Alonso decision was not.
