Congrats to Hayden Senger! No matter what happens the rest of his career, he can say he got a homer in the bigs.

Congratulations to Scott after FINALLY achieving a win in his pitching career. The Mets batters are HARD on young talented pitchers the last 5 years in not supporting them. The team needs to stay serious & perform for another talented snakebitten young man (McLean) & score runs for him.

Scott has pitched well lately, and it's nice he got a win. A pitcher who is now geared to pitching around five innings for a team that struggles will not get that many wins. Enjoy them.

A homer for Senger, who struggles for hits, is nice, too. Third-string catchers often are guys you route for. They aren't quite good enough for the bigs, but nice to see them do their thing.

(Alvarez is speeding along. It's nice he is gung-ho. But, given his history and history with catchers on that team, please be careful he is not going too fast!)

I see a general trend where the reasons to enjoy the team often aren't the overpriced new guys. That sometimes is a bit unfair, but that does seem to be the case. Oh well.

The team has enough talent & baseball is filled with enough mediocrity that we should see games like this. For now, you enjoy days like this & try not to worry about other problems.
