10-20 in our last 30. That’s a large sample size of bad baseball. We’re living off our hot start.

It's hard to swallow. Stearns will have to part with some good young players to save the season. If Alvarez can hit even a little it will help things. I see 11 of his 26 hits in Syracuse were homers. Reminds me of Dave Kingman.

I wouldn’t trade our top 5 prospects but anyone else should be on the table. Alvarez has 4 passed balls in Syracuse which is an issue too

Dreadful fielding yesterday. In that sixth inning, can someone explain why after Alonso took the relay from right field, he then soft-tossed it to home? As if he was throwing to a pitcher covering first. Does he ever practice throwing the baseball?

Threw a lollipop off his back foot it appeared to me. Didn't expect the ball as the backup cutoff?

I thought he might have had a bad grip on it, too.

It's more pleasant to honor David Wright than focus on the game.

The use of the bullpen is depressing. The better relievers were used in the second game. The starter got four more outs. Why Devenski couldn't be used in Game 1 (maybe for two innings; he did it before), along with the better relievers, is unclear. Start on a good foot.

If Raley is back, that could be a long-term good sign. Okay. So, it's up to Peterson though I see the Reds have a tough starter facing him.

I forget the details but he suffered a bad beaning at one time and I thought he wasn't the same hitter after that.
