For all those who have tanked on the season, a little fact. When the Knicks won the NBA World Championship in 1969-70, and in 72-73 there was a team from Queens who were NL Champions, and winner of 1 World Series! As they say in the 86 video, DO IT, DO IT, LET'S GO METS!!
I didn't even include their 3rd baseman who was a homegrown and now 30 years old. They have a great organization no doubt as all their division championships attest to.
Acuna, Albies, Baldwin, Harris, Eli White (where did HE come from?), ALL these youngsters are athletic & seem suited to succeed in MLB. For some reason, Mets farm raised batters are not as athletic or succeed at the plate. I'm not a scout/analyst but there is a reason. Anyone out there know what their secret is???. Snd why did our pitching coach land there and succeed immediately??? More weapons or talent???
I have no earthly idea. I DO know this organization is one of, if not THE best in baseball. They NEVER seem to stay down for more than two or three seasons.
Maybe Uncle Stevie needs to emulate the Bravos, as opposed to the Dodgers.
